Physical Description
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 125
Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Brown
Distinguishing
Marks:
Lexie has a tatoo of a black cat
(a Halloween-type one with the arched back and puffed-out tail) on the
small of her back. She also has a scar on the back of her left leg caused
by falling out of a tree when she was younger.
Hobbies: Normally
a workaholic, Lexie spends what free time she does give herself gardening
at her home or swimming. She's been an avid volleyball player since
she was a child and plays in leagues.
Psychological Background:
Overall, Lexie is a very friendly
and hard-working person. To be around her, one would never guess that
she has a rather jaded outlook on most things. Her life outside work
is something she rarely discusses, even when asked.
Personality Quirks: No
matter what time she gets to bed the night before, Lexie's always up
by six to run and get coffee. She loves reading and movies, and has
several built-in bookshelves in her den.
History:
Alexandria was born to David and Tricia Lawson in Hilo, Hawaii, the
middle child of three. As with her siblings, Lexie's parents instilled
a strong work ethic in her, along with a desire to help people.
She had a very uneventful life
up until high school, when her father, a Marine lieutenant, was transferred
to the Marine Corps Air Station in Miramar outside of San Diego, CA.
It was there that she met and befriended Carmen Reyes and her older
brother, Tomas, both of another Marine family living on the base.
Early on in high school, Lexie
had a knack for science. Several career placement tests nudged her more
and more towards a career in medicine, and with the encouragement of
family and friends, she enrolled at UCLA as a pre-med major. Tomas followed,
and the two were married not long after the start of their sophomore
year. With similar class schedules and dissimilar work schedules, the
time they spent together was limited at best, almost non-existant at
times.
By the end of her time in med school,
Lexie was spending so much time on her studies and so little time with
Tomas, that he decided to put his foot down, telling her when she could
take classes, work, go to the library to study, etc. The few times she
strayed from that, she ended up making visits to the local ER, and making
up excuses for her various injuries.
She dealt with the controlling
and the abuse until she was out of school and done with post-graduate
work, but once she had scraped up enough money, she filed for divorce.
The whole process took a hard toll on her.
After it was over, Lexie, with
some financial help from her parents, moved into a townhouse in Ocean
Cove, starting her neurology residency at Ocean Cove Memorial Hospital.
Special Notes: In addition to English,
she speaks some Hawaiian dialect, Spanish, Italian, and a little French
(the latter two learned during trips overseas). She has one pet, a six-month
old ragdoll kitten named Gretchen.
