A great lover of late 20th century music Callum plays the guitar, piano and drums. He keeps an electric guitar in his office, which he's owned since the age of 15 and 3 more guitars (electric, bass and acoustic) at home. His CD changer is full of 60s-70s British artists such as David Bowie, Queen, Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones. Callum loves to immerse himself in medical cases, which other the doctors have been unable to solve or have had to ask for a consult on.

Psychological Background:
Callum has a two-sided personality. Many of his colleagues would describe him as a considerate and easygoing guy, laid back slightly idle. Willing to spend large amounts of time by himself with a crossword. However, when it comes to his work Callum prides himself on hard work and determination, unprepared to compromise and willing to buck authority if he feels it's in his patient's best interests. Stubborn, Callum is unprepared to back down from any medical judgment until he's seen the treatment through. Rejecting modesty because self doubt never did anyone any good. But Callum is well meaning and although he has contempt for the system of rules he must obey he respects his own moral code to the letter.
Outside of work Callum is known as a joker who puts emphases on enjoying life to the most.

Personality Quirks:
A practical joker, Callum enjoys playing pranks on his colleagues. He's also been referred to at least once as having a Rubik's Complex, an undying need to solve the puzzle (either medical, personal or otherwise) this can lead to him carrying the same damn crossword with 1 clue missing for well over a week. It also means he'll never give up on a patient till he knows what's wrong.

History:
Callum was born into a poorer area of East London called Dartford. From an early age he showed great intelligence but never applied himself to his studies. As a child he showed an ease when understanding the sciences but would much rather listen to music than study. During early high school he made a reputation for bending the rules to suit him and skipped many classes to form a rock band called Quick Decision.

His band, to a degree was a success. This only harmed his education further as he put more and more focus onto playing guitar and scoring chicks. One chick however changed all this. When Callum was 16 he began dating the school rock chick hottie Kat Turren, the relationship was short lived as Kat was also dating another boy. In the resulting schoolyard fight Callum injured his right hand and set his guitar skills back years. With no other choice Callum focused back on his schoolwork, eventually leaving for King's College in Central London.

Callum was perfectly suited to campus life, enjoying the party atmosphere and popularity as a joker. However he didn't lose focus on his work. He came out of college with great grades and was accepted to St. Mary's Teaching Hospital where we finished his training and internship, while taking a specialty in Diagnostic Medicine.

While at St. Mary's Callum met Amy, a fellow intern… The two young doctors fell in love and were engaged to marry before Amy decided she wasn't ready for such a commitment and moved away. On completing his work at St. Mary's a heartbroken Callum applied for an English/American medical exchange and was accepted for a transfer to California where he hopes to make a fresh start at Ocean Cove.
