Psychological Background:
Craig is one of a set of twins, born 20 minutes younger than his identical brother. He grew up knowing that with money came responsibility. Not merely for his family but the world around him. Unlike his brother who was determined to help people, Craig was determined to help those who didn't have a means of helping themselves in the world around them. Animals.

5 years ago he had the control of his life taken away from him. A simple virus turned into something far worse. Now instead of fighting for the survival of aquatic animals, he is fighting for his own life, sometimes for his next breath. He is angry at what he has lost in his life, and sometimes that anger turns into despair, but he tries not to show it. Especially not around his brother. He has accepted that he is dying, much to the consternation of his brothers.

Personality Quirks:
Craig could care less about the money he has. Its there. He likes having it. Likes the security and freedom it provides, but he isn't fixated on it. Isn't worried about running out of it or making more. He is gregarious, and generally tries to be in good spirits no matter what is going on. Its no one else's fault he is sick, so why take it out on them. He saves his anger and sorrow for private moments. Its no one else's business what he feels.

History:
Craig is the youngest of three. Youngest by 20 minutes that is. He and Nick are stereotypical twins. Close beyond reason, sharing interests, pastimes, and long ago even their own language.

Their mother raised them to see the world around them, not just themselves and the world their father created. He and his brothers grew up with community service projects, and learning to take care of themselves. While his oldest brother was more than willing to follow in their fathers footsteps and manage the company and family funds, Nick went into the Peace Corp, and Craig became a marine biologist.

He fell in and out of love a time or two. Nothing serious in the long run. Nothing that truly broke his heart. He would just throw himself into his work and move on.

5 years ago he came down with a virus. The flu. It was then that his heart slowly began to malfunction. Viral dilated cardiomyopathy. The bug had worked its way into his heart and made it so that it wouldn't pump blood effectively. Resulting in shortness of breath, edema, risk for clots, and impaired circulation. He was fine for a while. Thought that he was just getting out of shape, spending too much time sitting on a boat and not enough time working out, and he was putting on weight from the edema. He pushed himself a little too hard one day, and collapsed. Woke up in the hospital and his entire life changed.

It ended his career at sea, because he needed to be close to the hospitals. So he took a job at the local Zoo, overseeing their aquatic exhibit, so that he could be closer in for medical care, but as time passed he spent less and less time up and working and more time in the hospital.

Now things are getting dire, and he is near the top of the list to receive a heart, but near the top doesn't guarantee that a heart will be found soon enough.
