Psychological Background:
Danika has always been a very driven and self-motivated person. Financially she's always been more than comfortable thanks to her grandparents and her decision to handle paying for medical school with out any loans. Those two things have allowed Danika a chance just to pursue her two major passions, flying and being a Doctor. Even in tough times she's had no reason to worry.

Beyond that Danika strives to have her accomplishments seen as her own. When her mind is set on doing something she doesn't easily give up. That has proven to be a double edged sword at times.

Family is one thing that really matters to Danika. She doesn't want to be like her parents, yet can't blame them for wanting to give their children a good life and keep things as private as possible given their very public careers in medicine and diplomacy.

Personality Quirks:
No matter what else is going on in her life, Danika makes time to keep things physically, spiritually and mentally balanced. She prefers herbal tea most of the time but has been known to go after a good Dr Pepper occasionally.

History:
Born to Tai and Scott Adrian on January 1, 1970 in Honolulu, HI Danika spent a lot of time with her grandparents due to her parents being away a lot. Becca and Dan Raynes thought of Danika as a daughter. When Tai and Scott were home they did their best to spend quality time with Danika.

From the time she was little she always enjoyed being near the water. The arrival of her younger sisters gave Danika a good reason to be the overprotective older sibling.

Initially it had been Danika's dream to become a fighter pilot as a first step to becoming an Astronaut. She had the grades, connections and necessary extracurricular activities to be accepted at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis. Danika entered with the midshipman class of 1991. She pursued a double Major in Biology and Physics.

Upon graduation she entered flight training. After that she found herself assigned to the VF-218 "Cyclones" fighter squadron. In late 1998 and accident forced Danika to be grounded so she could heal. During that time she found out she'd been accepted to Medical school. For the first 6 months of her Internship she was assigned to the Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD after that duty saw Danika assigned to a ship once again.

When the time arrived Danika chose to do a combined residency in Aerospace Medicine and Surgery. Given what she'd seen during her career so far it made sense. Besides the extra challenge is something Danika welcomed.

Danika's medical school expenses were paid for by the Navy, in turn she served active duty as a Flight Surgeon aboard an Aircraft Carrier. On one of her shore leaves she met Caid Nori. The two soon fell in love and were later married.

Just recently went from Active Duty to the Reserves to pursue her medical career at a real hospital. Danika and Caid decided on Ocean Cove as a place to make their new home. Recently Danika started to feel sick but hasn't yet learned she's expecting.
