Psychological Background:
Holly likes to takes things in stride, able to go with the flow with a minimum of stress. Her motto is “It’s all good.” A generally upbeat person, she can always be counted on for a fun time. There are times though when she sinks into deep melancholy, though it generally only lasts for a couple of days and she seeks acupuncture treatments to get back into balance.

Personality Quirks:
She has quite an appetite and is never on a diet, but is so active that so far it hasn’t affected her figure. She doesn’t own a TV, prefers to listen to music in her downtime, or just the sounds of the ocean.

History:
Holly lived in a commune in Mexico from the time she was about 2 years old till she was eleven and she speaks fluent Spanish. She grew up with her free spirited mother, Lilly and whatever “father” her mother was currently attached to. It was a happy childhood and she never lacked for playmates. They eventually moved back to the states and settled in Northern California. She was somewhat of a tomboy growing up, never caring for her appearance until she started high school. By then her mother had settled down with a nice middle class furniture salesman and had started pressing Holly to think about the future and acting more like a ‘lady’.

Holly began to spend more time away from home, hanging out with her friends. That’s when she met Bruce Wilson, and was instantly taken with his ‘bad boy’ ways. Bruce had dropped out of school and was living with some friends in a trashed ranch house on the outskirts of town. He represented the ultimate freedom to her, and the day after her eighteenth birthday, she married him in a brief civil ceremony at the county courthouse. She moved in with him and his loser friends and got a part time job in a deli to help pay the bills. The marriage was hot and heavy for about three months, and then little things he did started to annoy the hell out of her. She tried to stic k it out, make things work, but in the end when she caught him stealing from her purse, she moved out and filed for divorce.

She lived out of her car for about two months since she was too proud to admit she’d screwed up to her mother and try to come home. Luckily it was summertime and she could shower and do her laundry at the beach, without too much hassle. Eventually she saved up enough to get into a tiny apartment and started to get her life back on track.

Holly went into massage therapy since she could afford the schooling and wanted to be able to set her own hours. She found she liked the connection with people and being able to help them in a tangible way. After finding Acupuncture, she became inspired to learn Acupressure. She came to Ocean Cove because there is a great local Acupuncture College and is currently taking night classes there.
