History: John was delivered by his father in their living room. His father is one of the first paramedics in Los Angeles County.

He was, even then very much like his father. He grew up expecting to replace his father at station 51. He found out it took a lot more than the six weeks training his father had. His father talked him out of giving up more than once.

His mother supported his career choice.John and his sister often played at being firefighters as kids, he even got to hold a hose at 5, it lifted him off his feet, several times. Joann didn’t want to be a firefighter, but she was the one who came up with most of the rescues they pretended. She is an investigative reporter for a localnewspaper.

John is still a rookie, but he is at the top of his class in most areas. He regularly competes in firefighter competitions, and has several trophies.
