Psychological Background: When working Lina is the constant professional. She is courteous and level headed when dealing with the flow of patients that come into the Emergency Room. Outside of work she's more her age. She likes laughing and enjoys going out. More just to be out, like walking along the beach or finding a nice quiet place, laying on the car hood listening to some classic rock and watching the stars. Lina is easy going, and friendly. Prone to start speaking in Spanish when angry, or, not wanting to deal with you. Lina is closest to Adrian, her brother, he is one of only a few people that can totally read her like a book.

Personality Quirks: Lina thinks Starbucks should give her a running tab, loves coffee. Hates the smell of baby powder, believes that's going to be her saving grace on wanting a baby. Doesn't like to be around people who pretend to be stupid or dumb to get ahead, nor does she like being around those that beat you down with what they have. Hates it when people call her black, when she is Spanish.

History: Angelina Mercedes Scarza was born the last child of in a normal loving Spanish family in East Los Angeles. Some say it's the urban warzone where the law don't even go. Growing up in East LA there wasn't really a childhood for children. There was always that constant on guard that you had to be careful of where you went and where you're at any given time. This was a reality for the children there, unlike children in other parts of Los Angeles, the children of East LA didn't let themselves be clouded by fantasies of Camelot and growing up and living happily ever after.

Lina was blessed, her siblings always made her believe in 'somewhere over the rainbow' where dreams were there waiting for her. Her parents worked, they had to, so the older children seemed to look after the younger. Lina was the 'runt' of the Scarza litter. Soon as she was old enough to walk, she was idolizing her older siblings. Especially her brother Adrian, who would always watch over her when the others went out. If Lina went out, Adrian was there watching her. Sometimes even walking her down to the corner market for some candy.

School life was pretty much normal for Lina. She was involved in athletics, loved playing sports and tried out for just about everything. Then she started to hang with some of the rough kids. Sneaking out of the house, until finally Adrian found her and brought her back home, kicking and screaming. Shortly after that was when Adrian was arrested and given probation for the incident with the gang members. Lina found it unnerving that their parents had kept that a secret and wondered if they hid something from her, but never pressed the subject with them. When Adrian left East LA to go to work in Ocean Cove, California, Lina was in her last year of high school.

Once she graduated from high school, Lina didn't have any idea what she was going to do with herself. She knew her parents couldn't send her to college. Having no real direction she worked two years cleaning houses in Los Angels. When she turned 20 though her life started on a down hill run. She began to date Frankie Sanchez.

Frankie promised her everything she wanted, but gave her very little. She never really knew how far he was involved in the local crime scene. He did it all, drugs though was the main product. One night though she and Frankie had a fight, Lina had learned just how dirty his money was. Frankie beat her up and left her on the street. Had it not been for some people who knew her family and phoned they had found her, she'd laid there all night.

That was when her father called Adrian, and asked him to come down and get her. Get her out of the city and away from East LA. Away from all this and especially away from Frankie Sanchez. Didn't take a genius to know who'd done this. Adrian did come and get Lina, took her to Ocean Cove, California.

Currently, Lina has lived in Ocean Cove for about a year. She's working part time as a ER Receptionist, at Ocean Cove Hospital. She also attends college where she is getting a degree in computer networking.
