Psychological Background:
Rev is a playful person. He loves life and what he does for a living. He's had to struggle to get where he is today. So he takes it seriously even though he plays around. He'll stop playing in a second if a situation calls for it.

Personality Quirks:
Rev smokes to much and works to much, but does spend what free time he has doing what else he loves. He'd just not the type to leave a patient because he wants to go do something. He puts the patient first, even if he personally doesn't like a person.

History:
Rev was born the only boy to his parents, Reveland Savage the 2nd and Monica Savage, two very wealthy people. Reveland's grandfather made it rich in farming, stocks and boating. So by the time Rev came along the family was already living the high life.

Rev was born the last child, one of his older sister's Louisa was born with sever disabilities and suffered greatly. She died a year after Rev was born, so he never really knew her. His other sister Rochelle was devastated by her sister's death, they'd always been close, so as she grew, she was the one that went out and did drugs and other things.

Rev had to watch this, since Rochelle was 6 years older then he was. He watched her almost put herself in the grave over the years. Even as life changed for the family when Rev as 15, Rochelle kept doing what she wanted. It didn't help that they lived in Beverly Hills where a pretty girl could get anything she wanted.

Rev and his parents tried to help her. Her parents were especially upset, since she started doing drugs more then 8 years after Louisa died. They figured she was using that as an excuse to do drugs. But they weren't a great example either, both drank, Monica to the point where she'd pass out most every day. Reveland and Monica were typical rich kids who had to grow up. They only took as much responsibility as they had to. The kids were raised more by nannies while they grew.

In one of their semi responsible modes, they packed Rochelle up in the car and took her to rehab, in one of the few times she agreed to go. Rev was left alone with the nanny and later was taken to the hospital where he met his grandfather. They were there to pick up Rochelle, who survived the car accident that killed their parents.

Rev was 15 so he went to live with his grandfather, who immediately cut both kids off, feeling if he had done the same to his son maybe he would still be alive. In Rochelle's case it was the worse thing that happened to her. She turned to prostitution to get her drugs and a place to live. Rev lived with his grandfather, but if he wanted anything beyond the basics, he had to work for it. So Rev got a job.

Getting a job was one of the best things for him. His first job was as a lifeguard on the beach by his grandfather's home. He'd been a lifeguard at the local pool every summer, so getting that job wasn't hard. But it was there he had his first actual taste of saving someone's life. After rescuing them from the water, he had to perform CPR to save them. He was exhilarated by the experience and decided then and there he wanted to be a doctor.

Like his grandfather wanted, Rev had to work for everything he got. He worked hard in school and in college and his grandfather finally paid for medical school. It was there, that Rev decided he wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon. He soon graduated and got a job in New York, which didn't last long, he missed the atmosphere of California. He finally got a job in Ocean Cove, where he still sees his grandfather regularly and tries to help his sister.

Special Notes:
Rev still has to work on his own for everything he has. He won't get any money from his grandfather till the man's death.
